// black, white & blonder

MISSGUIDED CARDIGAN* // ASOS TOP // MOTEL SKIRT* // MONKI BOOTS (very cheap & similiar!)  // ASOS BAG
A classic monochrome ensemble from me today! I've been living in these Monki boots lately, and I'm so happy that I came across this basically identical pair from H&M so now you guys can get a piece of the action if you so wish! Vagabond also do a great pair (see here), but H&M are soo much cheaper so you really just can't go wrong. They've also restocked these Vagabond-esque platform boots that I wore to death last winter. They're easily the comfiest boots I own! I remember them selling out really quickly last time, so grab a pair now whilst you can.

You may also be able to tell from these photos that I've gone a little blonder. I've been DIY dip-dyeing my hair for about three years now, but I've always wanted to go just a few shades lighter than I ever could with box dye. I know ombre hair is a little bit been-there-done-that now, but I love having lighter hair with none of the maintenance required for fully blonde hair. I'm too lazy to be dealing with dark roots! My hairdresser has bleached it for me, and I'm definitely happy with the results shade-wise. The ends are a really nice, creamy blonde now, and I'm going to maintain the colour with plenty of toning and conditioning to keep it bright and soft. Brittle, brassy blonde hair is not the one!

NOW, I NEED SOME ADVICE...
My only slight gripe with the new colour is that where she has applied the bleach to the underneath sections of my hair, there is a bit of a stripe situation going on around my head. It's usually covered by the top sections which makes it look natural and blended, but sometimes when I/my hair moves around the stripe becomes visible. I'm thinking of buying the Schwarzkopff blonde box dye that I used to use to try and blend the bleach line a little more naturally with the uncoloured hair, but I'm so scared of the dye reacting badly with the bleached hair and either going orange or just breaking off altogether. Any advice/tips about doing this would be much appreciated!

This outfit is perfection! I'm so into monochrome looks at the moment! I've never dyed my hair so I know very little about the process, sorry I can't help!

Love this outfit, the skirt is gorgeous!

I don't know much about hair dye either I'm afraid, but could you not go back to the hairdressers and see if they can fix it? I hate having to complain about things but it might be worth it rather than doing it yourself and it going wrong. xx
